Promoting a Culture of Engagement and Collaboration

The research office in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) facilitates the dynamic community of faculty, staff, and student researchers in the College as well as their collaborative partners in government, academia, and the community. We aim to foster new research ideas and projects and their implementation, and to build new partnerships and collaborations. Our community is an important resource for stakeholders on and beyond the Long Beach campus.

Our research groups are actively engaged in applying new technologies and approaches to address modern challenges and questions, spanning from marine pollution, therapeutic strategies in medicine, global climate changes, tectonics and California geology, and more.

ÓéÀֳǹÙÍø students are highly encouraged to collaborate with faculty on research projects. In all departments of CNSM, there are opportunities for undergraduate research and Master's degree programs.
